The inspiration for Stefan Scholten's light and slender Unfold armchair comes from shapes created by folding paper.
10020 UNFOLD
MWith the 10020 Unfold armchair, Gelderland and Stefan Scholten took an important step in 2021 towards making its furniture production even more sustainable. For example, no glue is used in the production of this armchair. In addition, the model is constructed in several layers from a metal frame with biodegradable webbing.
A removable cover ensures its slender appearance and pleasant comfort. This setup means that all components are reusable or recyclable, making the armchair exceptionally sustainable.
To design the Unfold, Stefan Scholten literally folded a shape into paper to arrive at the current design. It became a shape that envelops you and supports your head. The paper also inspired him to design a light and thin upholstered piece of furniture.
We produce the 10020 Unfold armchair locally and by hand in our Culemborg factory. The armchair is therefore entirely of Dutch origin. Thanks to our unique strip upholstery, it is also possible to reupholster the armchair, so that the furniture lasts for generations. We give a 7-year guarantee on upholstery fabrics, leather and foam and a 20-year guarantee on the beech body.
