Designer Carolina Wilcke draws inspiration from natural shapes and materials. Her designs are characterised by balanced aesthetic proportions and pure materials. Her modern and architectural approach to the design process focuses on the search for the perfect aesthetic proportions.
In 2008, Wilcke graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. She works on a wide range of interior products, including furniture, lighting and accessories. The fact that she is also trained as a goldsmith brings a unique sophistication and detailing to her designs. Her work is not only stylish and aesthetic but also functional and practical. Wilke’s other important pillar is sustainability, she collaborates with local producers and uses durable, natural resources to produce her furniture.
In the years since Spectrum first launched her furniture in 2015, Wilke has won several awards for her work. For instance, she received the 'Best Furniture Design' award at the Dutch Design Awards in 2015 and was nominated for the 'Young Design Award' by ELLE Decoration in 2016.
