The Gelderland cubist classic
The iconic Cube sofa, but in the form of a comfortable armchair. With the same cubist design as the Cube sofa, which at the time was Jan des Bouvrie's first design for Gelderland.
Have a seat in the wonderfully comfortable Cube armchair, an iconic and wonderful item that fits any interior. The story of the 430 series (better known as 'Cube') begins in 1969 when Koene Oberman visited the Des Bouvrie family's Goed Wonen furniture shop in Bussum. The young ambitious Jan des Bouvrie shows him some of his first design sketches. They were sketches of the Cube sofa, a design that would make Jan des Bouvrie one of the most famous Dutch designers.
His Cube sofa became an absolute icon in the design world and played an important role in Gelderland's success.
The Cube armchair is part of the 430 Cube series which includes several options. For example, in addition to a 2-seater, we also offer a 3-seater sofa, plus a corner sofa.

In addition, our unique strip upholstery makes it possible to reupholster the armchair, which lasts for generations.
