A wonderful tribute
With this comfortable armchair, Jan des Bouvrie pays tribute to Gelderland's founder Koene Oberman.
The 601 Oberman armchair was designed by Jan des Bouvrie and owes its name to Gelderland's founder Koene Oberman. The armchair is a modern reissue of the original 1971 version, Mr. Oberman himself used to take an afternoon nap every day. A very comfortable armchair with a charming design that fits both modern and classic interiors.
Gelderland's 601 Mr Oberman armchair is entirely of Dutch origin. The armchair is produced locally and by hand in our Culemborg factory. In addition, our unique strip upholstery makes it possible to reupholster the armchair, which lasts for generations. We give a 20-year guarantee on the beech wood body and a 7-year guarantee on upholstery fabrics, leather and foam.
